WAR IN IRAQ........
The basis
tactic of asymmetric warfare depends on the several assumptions. There are
depends on the technology advantages of one side and another are weak. In the
Iraq war, the advantages in the war are US because they are having more
technology on the military like satellite, jet fighter and so on. Inferior
power is in a position of self-defense. US used
conventional warfare by using the advance technology in military capability.
Then, Iraq have to use the irregular tactic because they know their military capability are
weak than US. Iraq
need some support to defence their self against US superior. The Iraq strategy
defence the city to create conflict with civilian in the urban terrain. Insurgent
can be support the Iraq force against the US. Iraq provides the weapon to the
insurgent in the battle. The unconventional warfare is the right way to challenge US superior.

used many buildings as trench.
They are hidden in the building and used civilian building as safe place to
hide. US were creating trouble with the
insurgent because the target is building, and some impact are to the
civilian, the causality, civilian die and loss their family and house. They are
join insurgent against the US superior. There are many tactics used in the Iraq war but the two tactics most clearly used during Iraq war:
- Used the Martyrs and Guerilla
- Used of Improvised Explosive Device (IED)

Martyrs and Guerilla tactics. Martyrs purpose is to kill as many US troop
as possible before they were killed. They are don’t care their self weather
they are still life. Their mind set is winning in the battle or heaven after
die. Martyrs and guerilla are same, just
the different is guerilla having a advance training, how to fight, planning route
to run and some strategy use in the battle. But martyr only attack to kill US
troop immediately attack. They don’t have proper uniform, look like civilian
and US difficult to trace the insurgent. They are also hidden in the civilian
building to gain the better place the hidden attack from the building such
as throw the grenade from the window when US troop move through the house,
shooting with AK-47 on the building and hidden machinegun and sniper in the
building. Iraq provide weapon to the insurgent to protect their territory. That
is important support to create morale down in the Urban warfare to the US
troop.

An improvised explosive device (IED) attack is the use of
a “homemade” bomb and/or destructive device to destroy, incapacitate, harass, or
distract. IED is the popular homemade
bomb in the irregular tactic in the asymmetric warfare. IEDs can be designed in the form of small pipe bombs to
sophisticated devices that can cause great damage. IEDs can be brought or sent
in the vehicle; brought, placed, or removed by a person who served in the
package, or hidden by the roadside. They are many insurgent used the
IEDs hidden by the roadside to damage the US vehicle moving through the
targeted way. It is more effective tactics to undermine morale of U.S.
troops in the war because they cannot move and always in fear during the move.Next..
The other tactics also use in the Iraq war are Suicide bombs, car
bombs, and large-scale bombings. They are also Increase the size and power of IEDs to overcome immunity
shields the United States (U.S.). US want to prevent casualty to their troop
with use of high immunity shields Vehicles to be head or convoy troop. They are also use the “Swarming" technique,
and the attack on the vehicle to stop and seize vehicles because they are need
to get the supply in the battle. The strengthening the Iraqi army attack in remote
locations with the use of small arms as weapons of RPGs, automatic weapons,
and snipers. That is didn’t give interesting to the US troop gain in the battle.
